"I signed up for an IAM Advanced Motorcycle training course in February 2024. Not knowing what to expect Andy quickly put me at ease with his calm manner and superb knowledge of all things relating to advanced riding.
Andy has a clear passion for motorcycling which is evident in his desire to teach others. Not afraid of a bit of weather, we had training sessions in all conditions and covered a multitude of different riding environments.
Care was taken to ensure I was happy with all elements of advanced riding and time spent on areas I felt that I needed more work. After a few sessions and assessment and with a few more words of advice and encouragement from Andy I put in for my IAM RoadSmart Advanced test and passed with a F1RST (An IAM Roadsmart F1RST is a status awarded to drivers or riders who achieve a very high standard on the IAM Roadsmart Advanced Driving or Riding Test. Specifically, it's given to those who score a "1" in nearly all categories of the assessment, demonstrating exceptional skills and control.)
